Eagle Rock Theatre Company began in 2019 as a way to launch personal, small-cast and experimental new works. It was started by veteran stage and screen actor Nic D’Avirro and actor-writer Matt Braaten. The company is based in Los Angeles and has ties to the UK, where Nic worked extensively.
In 2017, Nic approached Matt with an idea for a play. Over the course of several years, they researched, discussed and wrote the play together. They had planned to take it to the 2020 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the largest theatre festival of its kind in the world, but when Covid struck, the 2020 Festival was cancelled. They then regrouped and began planning to take the show to the 2021 Festival. However, Nic died unexpectedly on January 12, 2021.
After taking time to mourn the loss of our dear friend, father, husband and collaborator, Nic’s family and Matt decided to follow through on the plan and bring the play to the 2022 Edinburgh Festival Fringe in memory of Nic. But we needed some help. Please click the link below, read the details, and if you are in a position to support our project, please do. THANK YOU to those who have already donated!
